What's New-June/July 2005

Re-mastered versions of "Footwork" and "At The Edge Of This Thought" have been placed on the downloads page. Our good friend and most excellent photographer Brian Tirpak has given us some great shots from the Orion Studios concert. These are in the Photo Gallery.

The show at XM Radio's performance theater went well. The sound for the guests in the live room was less than perfect we know (the band was all in headphones), but the recorded version sounds really good! We would like to thank everyone at XM radio, and our guests for making this concert one to remember. We will be posting the airing time and date here.

Regretfully the show at the Birchmere was cancelled by the venue when advance ticket sales were reported to be low. Our local fans have told us in no few numbers that they always buy their tickets at the door there, as seating is not reserved, and the advance tickets cost more. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone, and hopefully the venue will not be so hasty in the future. We will try to play another show in the Baltimore/DC area soon.

Happy the Man to Headline Prog Day, Saturday, September 3rd

Happy the Man joins progressive legends Nektar and up-and-coming fusion monsters Helmet of Gnats on the ProgDay Stage!

The Lowell,Mass concert June 5th was a real pleasure for the band. Thanks to everyone at Newears for such a warm welcome and a great time. Here are the guys in front of the venue before the show.

What's New-November 2004

The Muse Awakens has been released and is getting great reviews! You can see some of these in the Reviews pages.

Mix magazine surprised us all in their October 2004 issue with this photo of the HTM with Ken Scott at A&M studios from 1976.

Happy has been playing a limited number of shows on the east coast, and more are being planned.

What's New-September 2004

The Muse Awakens will be released in the US on October 26th, and in Europe on October 25th. Promos have been sent out to many magazines and radio stations and a release party/concert is being planned.

The band is starting to schedule live shows for this fall. Visit the bookings page for details and schedules.

While at MoogFest in New York, David was backstage with Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Jordan Rudess, and Bernie Worrell. Keyboard Magazine also captured this moment and the photo appeared in their August issue.

Our drummer Joe Bergamini played on the Movin' Out national tour from July 3 through July 25, in San Diego and San Francisco. He is shown here hangin' with the guys outside the Golden Gate Theater in the lovely Tenderloin in San Francisco: Bryan Steele (saxes), Bill Ruger (FOH engineer), Dodd Ashe (band tech), Joe Bergamini (drums), John Isley (saxes), Dan McKinley (monitor engineer).

What's New-June 2004

The band has signed up Eric Schilling for the mix on the Muse Awakens.

Dan Muro is creating the cover art and package for The Muse Awakens.

The final "Muse" overdubs are being completed at Sonic Adventures Studio in New Jersey.

What's New-March 2004

The band has been in the studio tracking basics for two weeks, and one week of overdubs is completed.

Our drummer Joe Bergamini is performing on Broadway in the Billy Joel/Twyla Tharp  Movin' Out production. For Joe's schedule click here.

What's New-January 2004

Drummer Joe Bergamini has joined the band, filling the drum chair void left when Ron Riddle had to leave.

The band has been rehearsing at Orion Studios in Baltimore, and will be recording basic tracks in New York the first week of March. Overdubs will continue in the second half of March, and we hope for a fall release of the Muse album. Thank you all for your patience as we have worked through all the logistics of this production.

The "Movin' Out" cast album has been nominated for a Grammy award in the category of Best Musical Show Album. The Grammys will be televised on February 8, 2004. We have our fingers crossed for David as we await the awards presentations.

David composed, arranged and produced the theme music for the New Jersey Lottery Daily Drawing. The song, "Jackpot Swing" is a big band swing tune featuring a thirteen piece horn section and plays twice each day during the Daily Drawing shown on WNJN.
